Missa Carolae

Christmas in Rochester
is special.
There is an indefinable atmosphere that embraces both the quiet mystery of the incarnation and the brash excitement of one of the greatest festivals. The drama unfolds in a building that has stood for centuries, and in a place where people began to celebrate the Nativity barely two dozen generations after the birth of Jesus.
Recorded in January 2007, this album mixes the range of music heard over the Christmas period, sung by the three choirs of the cathedral's present foundation.
